news from the front.....Hillman Batteries defense continues to hold on, while Hermanville defenders get the worst of it!

The engagement started off with duels between the Brit tank gunners and the AT gunners against their German opponents. Some of those duels we won, some we lost.

I wasn't sure which way Gerry would attack, and so I dispersed the troops across their front and waited for it. the engagement began by Gerry losing an assault gun and a field piece to the Brit AT gun sited on our left flank. Those loses upset Gerry's attack schedule to begin with. However, he directed a second assault gun to our left, along with 2 - 3 squads of inf. We only had a command and mortar squad providing support to the AT gun in a building. Gerry got a little cocky and sent his second assault gun toward the the left....and that's when the gun crew went knocking! Scratch a second mobile gun. Unfortunately, I made a similar mistake by sending a Sherman to the corner to take care of their inf that had, by now, finished off all my supporting inf. The good news is, we saved the Breteville exit VL from being captured.

Nice fights Sarn't Knights 
....looks like you wiped the floor with his infantry at Hillman, and Hermanville was always going to be tough with that entry, but you still got a couple of Jagds...with that sort of entry and consequent lack of depth for the defence I find it hard to pick which way the attack will develope, and positioning of reserves to counter is very difficult. This is even worse when dealing with the phalanx-like German elite infantry of this mod........I think you did very well on both counts
