Morn Cristot VS Wruff [ master of the last min rush BS ]
here is what i took
my set up
i went in with keeping the bretteville VL in our hands. the other VL's we couldnt get to or are not really relavent. i figured the town in the centre we could hold easily.
Wruff went to the left in force which was a bit of surprise.....i figured he would rush the bretteville VL at what ever cost...wrong again...he was setting things up for next battle i guess.
i had a tk and a squad go to the left and covered and took the brett VL with 2 tks and a squad and covered it with a 6pdr from the hedge. the avre was in the middle to cover the buildings across the rd. another 6pdr to cover our exit vl and the town X rds.
we took the center town VL and buildings but were hampered by an 88 and a FR tk.
on the left we killed his inf squad and a MK 4 with out sherman but got imobilized. he brought up another MK 4 and he got me...and took the VL in the hedges there. i brought another sherman across from the right to cover the VL we still had and was bringing a CMD squad over to get the VL back....ran out of time he was rushing the VL and my TK with smoke....he didnt get that VL.
in another last min rush he took a VL to the left of the town that i had a squad within 30 m of...and took it ..........PISS me off!!! i had it covered....wruff has this BS down to an art and he managed to take the upper town VL at the last min as i murdered that kraut squad and his FR TK with the Avre but my cmd squad there was killed in the melee and i didnt get any one there in time to re take it!!!
i should no better and should have snuck around a bit more to take some of the other nuetral grd.....
were in a good defensive position but im not real happy with those VL's he took ...plus hes closer than i would like or thought he was to the brettevile VL......this should be a priority next battle there to expand and keep him away from there...that and holding the town. he has mk 4 tks and 2 mk 4 cmd tanks plus 8 or so FR tks and 5 mk 4 shorts left in the BG....plus the a/t guns
we got 1 more MK 4 and frog tank for the loss of 1 sherman.

Battle of Rauray vs Pzt_Kevin
The mission was to hold the ground and inflict as much as possible casualties to germans, and above all fighting like a Tiger!
I set up my units avoiding any exposure to suppressive fire, 2 pioneer squads the big building on the right, 3 ATG 6 pdr in ambush deployed in the bocage and 1 M10 in reserve behind the buildings in the bottom part of the village.
The germans attacked with veterans infantry supported by 3 Stug, I was able to kill a lot of them unfortunately was not possible to counterattack due to the presence of damned Stug.
At the end our defending area is a little bit smaller than beginning of the battle but we held the town and inflicted a lot of casualties to germans: 34 dead or wounded + 1 Stug damaged (it was very lucky to resist at direct fire of 6 pdr ATG on the main road).
Brits: 15 dead or wounded, + 1 ATG destroyed.

Morning, Battle of Lingevres
Battle of Lingevres vs Pzt_Kevin
I set up my units following the strategy to hold the town and gaining the bocage on the right south part for the next counterattack.
Everything carried out under the prevision, I was able to kills a lot of germans on the bottom right flank and to get the bocage.
Unfortunately a damned flamethrower killed my defenders on the left part of the buildings, it seemed invulnerable....
At the end of the battle the final position was good, we held the ground and we got the bocage on the bottom right.
Casualties
Germans : 34 wounded or killed
Brits: 29 wounded or killed + 1 ATG destroyed

Morning, Battle of Gavrus
Battle of Gavrus vs Pzt_Wruff
I set up my units in the south west part of the map, the target was to gain as much as possible ground in order to be closer to the town.
I decided to avoid any advance in the middle of the map, too dangerous attack there.
Everything has been accomplished under the plan, I found just some difficulties to manouvre the tanks in the bocage.
I discovered the total inefficiency of the mortars versus deployed gun, I spotted an infantry gun and I was not able to destroy it....
Casualties
Germans: 25 dead, wounded or prisoners + 1 ATG
British: 18 dead or wounded + 1 stuart and 1 humber damaged.
Unfortunately I can't post images yet but the seven days limit are close to the end

Hill 112 vs wruff
figured he would attack hard so i waited he did, we fought hard until they very end! he attacked from the left side first then attacked from the east. I went tank for tank with him, got a couple of ATG. Wruff gained some but paid dearly for it!

Bois vs. Wruff
I attacked very hard here, Wruff got a couple of tanks on me but we are in very good shape here. Wruff snuck the crossroad vl at the end. no biggie, still have crap for deploy with it.

good work Loki altho bois de bavent cost us allot...2 churchills and 2 stag hounds as near as i can figure out? ouch still we got the rat cornered now.
can you be marginally more specific on the losses on both sides please. what kind of guns did he lose?? 37 mm or 75 mm for instance. im trying to keep track of equipment losses on both sides. also will you number or name your guns and tanks etc etc please

i mean no offense but i dont know what you mean by numbering equipement, When i was asked to join this wruff said it was supposed to be fun not so formal as he stated. I just want to have fun playing I don't want to have to worry about numbering ATG and Tanks. Also i don't know the size of the ATG inside of houses and when the battle is heated I don't have time to go look.
If all of the above mentioned is a requirement to play i missed the memo, no offense i truly mean this but if these are the requirements I probally won't play any more. I will just step away no problems or worries.
I agree loosing two tanks was probally a little excessive! one was blown up by troops the second was lost in a duel with an ATG. The two vehicles were easily taken out by small arms fire, cars are easily killed as i am sure you know. But calling me out on it, not sure i like. I took 3/4 the map in area we need results. When attacking you will loose equipment as everyone knows.
I don't want to quit, i just want to have fun but it seems this maybe going down a road that is to serious for me. I have played in several clan wars never had anyone tell me i had to label equipment before or have people call me out about loosing equipment. If i have to worry about loosing to many tanks then there goes some of the edge of attacking.
BTW i have taken more tanks then have lost in 5 battles.

Hi mates, this is a game!
I think Steiner didn't complain about your result, because it is brilliant in term of ground gained!
The high losses are the conseguence but now the germans are in big trouble!
About numbering of the units, I have the same problem because I forget to do this, last battle I did it and I think it is useful because you can recognize easily the units and the level of experience, morale, etc, gained.
This operation it is not time consuming, just few seconds.

Day 17 Morning
Battle of Pegasus Bridge vs Pzt_Kevin
The front was very quiet, nothing happened!
Just some probe actions that costed some casualties from both sides, germans gained the south bridge, I didn't deploy any units there, mission impossible to hold the VL there.
Casualties
Germans: 15 dead or wounded
British: 15 dead or wounded

You keep fighting Loki ..... Tank losses are tough, but when you almost clear a map they're acceptable.....an vehicles in GJS are just so fragile, they don't stand up to much in any case.
Its desirable to Id units like tanks and guns, a simple 1, 2 ,3 is all thats needed.
Its hard at times to figure out what the enemy is losing or using, all his guns seem to have similar effects and in a wild battle I know its almost impossible to keep accurate track.
Keep up with your winning streak and all is fogiven:).
Some really nice results this end of turn well done all of you guys.
My New Year guests have now left so I'll try to get some preliminary orders knocked together so you can ll have a look at them before we EXEC.

I am 100% behind you guys, and am ready when needed. You and loki (with Steiner and Ronson too) are doing a fine job. I am not comfortable taking battles (which you have a firm grasp on the situation- like Rauray, Lingevres, Orne, or Gavrus) away from you or loki... you are just doing TOO GOOD. I might jump in soon at Pegasus or another defensive battle... but don't worry about me. I am enjoying the War, plenty to look over/study/practice/learn and we have like 16 more rounds to go... alot of time to play if I want.

RAURAY VS WRUFF PM 17th
redid the PM move and rebuilt the rauray battle. what a fucken fiasco......the game crashed on me and wruff about 8 times before we got it to save.
we got the german equip losses....the 2 stugs and the flame h/t. we re took a couple of the buildings on left town but after 8 crashes we didnt keep the game going too long. we needed to save it. dont no how much ground ronson actually retook in his game.....too bad... we probably got screwed again here.
the germans have moved there heavy hitters around and have the panthers in cristot and the 130 lehr in lingevres from bayuex and the 21/22 PZ form cristot to juvigny.
they swapped there 2 BG at thaon and cruelly too the other 21 PZ is now in thaon...all his tank BG's in 1 area redee to break out.
we had lots of air support so i spread it around.......

Cristot vs Wruff/Panthers 17th pm
I talked with ronson before the battle he told me to hold the town and Bretteville road that mission was accomplished. However I lost two tanks while only killing two men in one panther. Wruff did the smart thing an attacked the Tourville vl as he knew its not a priority for us. I lost the command tank as I did not know they could shoot through the hedges on the Tourville side my mistake. The Arve was lost do to him just driving staight down the road and engaging the arve before i could pull back. Wruff put togather a smart attack plan followed by three Panthers aiding him, the Fourth Panther guarded his flank. The two FFs i had are fine although he dropped air on FF damaging it but no deaths nor immobolizing it. LOL air in Normandy for Germans quite funny! This SS Panther BG will be quite fun! especially with air. I don't like that none of our BG's in this sector really seem to have any 17 pounders in them, I just fought Panthers and previous battle Tigers with each BG only having two six pounders quite odd imo.

Not the results I wanted, but everyone looks a lot smarter attacking with three SS Panthers.

Battle of Juvigny vs Pzt_Kevin

The germans attacked on the east.
The superior fire power of the germans and the veterans units made the difference, I lost 3 infantry units in few minutes.
I tried to block their advancing, using M10 without success, 1 infantry squad was able to infiltrate and to get the VL to Villers Bocage while I was busy to with 2 panzers.
Final result
I lost 2 ATGs spotted by germans and destroyed by 88 mm.
The main problem is the VL to Villers Bocage that they gained, it was our supply path

It was a tough advance, the germans were deployed in the bocage waiting for british infantry.
Unfortunately the stuart was blocked by bocage and during the last minute the germans regained a VL in the south east.
The final result:
I lost 1 tank and destroyed 1 ATG, now we are very close to the town.
This is the campaign summary:
