Continuing story of the bloody battle of Hill 112, played v Kevin, troops selected :-
By rd_ronson at 2012-01-08
Expected a hard attack from town and in our right flank, but set up determined to hold out on the other side of the river:-
By rd_ronson at 2012-01-08
He attacked from the go, our flamer and command squad hurt his guys in the church supported by the stag and brens, we stopped him there in his tracks, he then infiltrated down the houses on the right of street finally being stopped by the mortar crew! with churchill, our brens wiped a command squad! on the extreme left in the orchard. we lost both Vikers to his Marders, however we did take out a Marder . He launched a last minute attack on the orchard but our guys held the VL, just about
Death to the Marder! run you jerries!
By rd_ronson at 2012-01-08
End of battle we inflicted equal losses on him, shame our forcepool isn't as big as his one is, and lost a bit more of the town:-

News from the front......Battle of Bois Du Bavent
This afternoon the battle for Bavent continued with Col Wruff in command of the German forces. The objective was to squeeze gerry into a ever smaller corner of the map....which we managed to do. Few casualties on both sides, but more key terrain was captured. Allied forces were as follows:

More news from the front.....Pegasus Bridge Almost Lost To Germans!
The Germans, under the command of Col Wruff, almost managed to overwhelm the Allied forces defending this key position. Gerry armor made effective use of fire suppression to pin down the defenders...allowing their inf to surged forward. At one point in the battle, the Bridge VL was lost to gerry! Fortunately, the last minute charge of a command squad to recapture the VL was successful. There were significant casualties on both sides. A gerry tank and 75mm AT gun were knocked out.

Re: GJS WAR AAR Day 17
Good turn gentlemen, however we are still under a lot of pressure, its really hard I know when our troops are so poor quality and outnumbered at every turn, but we'll continue to try to hold him back, we're still at Major victory level, so it not all gloom and doom
I'll put some orders together have a look at them and comment please.
Cheers
